My husband and I just found out that we'll be moving to Germany this July.  We have 3 kids and to Boston Terriers  and he's reporting to Landstahl.  Does anyone have any info they can give me about anything at all?  i.e.....good areas to live flying/packing tips best cable/satelite options best internet services best cell phone services any helpful websites....ect...

I am completly overwhelmed and lost right now!  This is going to be such a stressful move!  You'd think after 20 years in the army we'd be old hands at this but this will be our first overseas duty station and it's a whole new experience for us!

Thanks in advance!  :)

Nikki

I just had a telephone interview for a civilian nurse position at Landstuhl. The interview went well. I am so excited. Does anyone know the process of hiring or being selected to work at Landstuhl? I have over 18 years of nursing experience under my belt but I am not sure what they are looking for. If I am chosen for the position do they offer housing on base or off base? Thanks for any help

Flipcam Give Away Entry
This is an Army Base. It is very small, mainly because the Main hospital resides on this base and takes up most of the space on the base. Everything else is is built around it, making the base a big circle. There is an elementary/middle school available on base. Housing, a library, a two child development centers, plenty of parks within housing, a teen center, a skate park, a shoppette with gas station, and the only restaurants available on base are inside of the hospital in a very small food court area.

http://www.buzzofbase.com this is to find out whats going on around town.
http://www.ramsteinyardsales.com this is to find things for bargain prices, its like the craigslist of the KMC area.
